Job Title
M&A / Transaction Analyst
Summary
We’re looking for an analyst to support our sell-side and buy-side engagements — building financial models, drafting transaction materials, and keeping deals organized from intake through close. This is a full-time role working directly with our deal team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models (P&L, cash flow, valuation) for active engagements
- Draft sections of CIMs, CBRs, teasers, and investor decks under partner/broker review
- Organize and QA data room documents during due diligence
- Research comparable transactions, industry trends, and buyer/investor universes
- Support scheduling, seller/buyer communication, and process tracking across live deals
Must-Haves
- Comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets at an advanced level (modeling, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong written English for client-facing materials
- Prior exposure to M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance coursework or work experience
- Available to work your firm's core hours and time-zone
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with CIM or pitch deck design (PowerPoint/Google Slides)
- Familiarity with a specific industry vertical your firm focuses on
- CFA/CM&AA coursework in progress or completed
Interview Questions Worth Asking
- Walk me through how you'd build a 3-statement model from a messy set of financials.
- Tell me about a time you had to turn around a deliverable on a tight deadline. What did you cut, and what did you protect?
- What questions would you ask a seller before drafting the first page of a CIM?
- How do you keep a data room organized when documents are arriving out of order from multiple people?
