With sales
topping eight million worldwide and an international following that spans
all generations and musical tastes, 15-year-old Charlotte
Church is getting ready for the October release of "Enchantment,"
her fourth album. Recorded this summer in Los Angeles, "Enchantment"
includes many in-concert favorites and highlights an extraordinary array
of stylistically diverse material, from operatic arias and Celtic folk
songs to Broadway show tunes and pop perennials. The album was produced
by Keith Thomas (Barbra Streisand,
Brian McKnight) and features such special guests as renowned flamenco
guitarist Jesse Cook and Charlotte's longtime accompanist, harpist Rhodri
Davis.
On September 11, Stone
Gossard steps out to release his first solo album, Bayleaf.
Special guests on the CD include former Green Apple Quickstep frontman
Ty Wilman, Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain, and Pete Droge who also
produced the album. Gossard sings lead on seven of the album's ten tracks
and penned all the album's songs. Check out "Unhand Me," the
first single off from Bayleaf, featuring Wilman on lead vocals right here.
Executive
produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spieberg, Band of Brothers, a ten part
World War II miniseries based on Stephen Ambrose's book chronicling an
elite W.W. II Airborne unit, tells the story of Easy Company, 506th regiment
of the 101st. Airborne division, US Army. Starting with their rigorous
training in Georgia in 1942, it recounts the achievements of the elite
rifle company, which parachuted into France early on D-Day morning, fought
in the Battle of the Bulge, and captured Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden.
The music was composed and conducted by Grammy Award-winning composer
Michael Kamen (Mr. Holland's Opus. Lethal Weapon, X-Men, and Frequency).
A dramatic and stirring large-scale orchestral work with choir, Kamen's
music captures both the epic tragedy of W.W. II and the intimate tone
of camaraderie among men. Watch the series trailer and hear the main theme
right here, then look for
the soundtrack in stores on August 28th...
