Natascha Wright was born on July 18, 1975 in Billinton, a small village in Surinam, South- America.

Natascha Wright knew at an early age what she wanted to do in her life. She wanted to be a singer and started to take her talent outside the school walls by participating in talent searches and various competitions.

At the age of 18 Natascha Wright went to the "Academy for light Music" (AVLM) in Hilversum Holland, where she followed an intensive music training. In

In 1993 Pop star "Haddaway" , who was riding high on "What is Love" ,(the number 1 hit at the time) asked Natascha Wright to contribute her vocal styling, as a support singer during his world tour. Her strong charisma and warm soprano voice gave Haddaway’s show the perfect extras for his Live World Tour. For three years they travelled all over the world. In 1995 Natascha Wright received a Golden record for singing the lead vocals on the song "Freedom" which became a number 1 hit in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland and she received a Golden record for singing the lead vocals on "Love is the Price" which became a Top 10 hit.

 In 1997 Natascha Wright travelled to California USA, to sing in "MC Hammer’s" Gospel choir, and simultaneously worked together with several producers to develop her singing and song writing skills.

Early 2000 Natascha Wright impressed record producer Frank Farian (known from acts such as Boney M, No Mercy, Millie Vanilli) with her appearance and talent and he signed her as the new singer of pop group La Bouche. Together with rapper /singer Lane Mc Cray, Natascha Wright is successfully maintaining the "La Bouche" success.

They are currently working on new material to be released in 2001. Natascha Wright with her many faces, amazes her audience over and over. With her strong Soul voice influenced by her love for Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, and Pop she is able to fascinate, mesmerize and entertain young and old.

When did you discover that you could sing and wanted to become a singer?

I always loved to sing, and in school I was always asked to sing on occasions. Everybody would give me compliments about my voice. At the age of 12 I decided to participate in a talent competition, and won the first prize. Then I went to all organised talent competitions my parents and I heard about. This was a great time in my life. I won a lot of prizes, cash, trips and I probably won about 4 stereo’s (ha-ha-ha).

Is it true that you had your first release at the age of 16?

Yes. During one of the talent competitions, there was a famous Dutch producer, Hans van Hemert. He invited me into his studio to sing one of his demo’s. The name of the song was "Selfcontrol". It was a nice dance song in the style of Kylie Minogue. It was released by Polydor Holland. "Selfcontrol" had a lot of airplay, and the video was played daily on the English music channel , Sky Channel.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Even in my free time I like to be occupied with anything that has to do with my career. I like to write songs, record in the studio, practise and travel. I love photo/video shoots and even my administration I don’t mind. I like to read books ,watch movies, and visit my Little niece Faith, born on 6-4-’99.

When you write songs what do you like to write about?

Simply about love.

Both

Do you write your songs by yourself ?

No most of the time I write my songs with my mother, Muriel. She is a fantastic songwriter. She can come up with subjects that makes me think, why didn’t I think about that?

Do you have brothers and sisters?

I have one sister, her name is Bianca. She is Faith’s mother.

What is your favorite music?

Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Pop

Who is your favourite artist?

My favorit singers are, Betty Wright, Randy Crawford, Diana Ross and Anita Baker. I love Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson for their business sense and sex appeal.

What is your favorite CD?

"Betty Wright live", and "The very best of Randy Craword"

Are you religious?

Yes, I am a very spiritual person I believe in the power of prayers, and I believe that if you allow yourself to feel the love of God, you can make it through any situation. I also believe, that everything in life happens for a reason, and if anything is meant to be yours it will come to you when the time is right.

I am temperamentful, sensitive, motivated, ambitious and organised

What are your ambitions for your career?

I hope to be a successful recording artist working as a singer for the rest of my life. I would like to have a world-wide success, and I would like to write and produce my own music, with my writing partner Muriel, we would like to continue co-operating with other good producers,of our own choice, who we admire, famous or not that doesn’t matter. I enjoy growing everyday in all kind of ways as a singer, entertainer, and songwriter. That’s what I work for and desire. Most important, is that I aim to enjoy the road towards it and hope that there will be a few people out there who will like and enjoy what I am doing. I love to perform and at the moment that’s what I am doing a lot of, so I consider my career at the moment to be successful, and I hope to achieve much more.
